All parties in the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) need to be trained adequately to carry out their duties under the OHSA. The application of a strong IRS within Group Homes will be our topic of discussion, as well as showing evidence of demonstrated commitment from senior leadership, managers and supervisors. Training, instruction, and a properly functioning Joint Health & Safety Committee and/or Health & Safety Representative will also be reviewed.

The objective of hazard specific workshops is to provide an overview of the hazards that will be a focus of the proactive initiative. Participants will be provided with resources to assess their efforts related to each hazard and help generate an action plan for future conformance activities. Follow up and onsite assistance can be requested. Your PSHSA consultant can assist with specific policies and program development if needed at your location(s).
