Position Summary

 

The Public Services Health and Safety Association is growing to meet the demands of a changing landscape that puts a spotlight on Occupational Health and Safety. We are currently looking for multiple Health & Safety Consultants to join our team passionate about creating safer workplaces for Ontario's Public Sector Community.

 

It’s our belief that all workers and employers should have access to the occupational health and safety information they need, regardless of physical location. This commitment to Anywhere Learning allows PSHSA to enhance prevention activities by delivering comprehensive training and consulting solutions in a variety of convenient formats. From eLearning to regional instructor-led training, we offer effective solutions to meet our client’s unique needs.

A Health and Safety Consultant at PSHSA is responsible for delivering health and safety solutions to our clients including training, consulting, and specialized services. You will be responsible for ongoing client engagement, building client relationships to help them improve health and safety outcomes, and to position PSHSA as a leader in delivery of client focused solutions.

 

We encourage you to apply if you are a Health and Safety professional who has excellent facilitation skills, has knowledge in health and safety legislation, and health and safety management systems. A CRSP or equivalent designation is an asset. In return, we offer a competitive salary with benefits and a pension plan, remote work, mileage reimbursement and generous vacation entitlements.

 

PSHSA is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Development and works with Ontario’s Public and Broader Public Sector employers and workers, providing training, consulting, and resources to reduce workplace risks and prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.

Status: Permanent, Full-time (3) and Contract (1)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week
Location: Home office
Travel Required: Occasionally
