Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

Because every single student has a right to feel safe, included and accepted in our schools, Ontario has designated the week beginning on the third Sunday of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment.

During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week Ontario students, school staff and parents are encouraged to learn more about bullying and its effect on student learning and well being.

This year, for the first time, Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week is being recognized as part of the Accepting Schools Act,legislation designed to make every Ontario school a safe, more accepting place to learn while ensuring all students have the support they need to grow and reach their full potential.
