Join CHSI and other professionals within the industry for our first annual Safety Speaker Series. Our night will start off with complimentary beverages, booth displays and networking from 6:00- 7:00 PM. This will also give you the opportunity to visit our sponsors and presenters displays with important health and safety information.
At 7:00 PM the presentations will begin! 5 leading industry professionals each who will share a lesson they learned throughout their career relating to workplace safety. Whether you have a physically or emotionally challenging career or not, our speakers will leave you wondering how you ever survived without their help.
Dan Maksymiu a Consultant with Infrastructure Health & Safety Association shares his personal struggle after a fall from a 30ft ladder that left him injured, alone and unemployed. His struggle to literally pick himself back up showcases the importance of safety education.

Hillarie Klass a Consultant with Public Services Health &Safety Association will share her experience with a flood evacuation of a long-term care facility and evaluate the importance of emergency planning and mitigating risks to save lives.
Andrew Harkness with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services opens up about a worker’s suicide. His story will walk us through the process of mental health education, how to evaluate your workplace, develop a plan for long term changes and demonstrate the ongoing battle with mental health in any industry.
Dan Suess a Consultant at Workplace Safety North shares his story of an incident at a chemical plant that resulted in the tragic death of a colleague. Understanding the root cause of incidents and near misses has never been so imperative.
