MOL Blitz Results: Workplace Violence & Harassment in Healthcare

June 5, 2013 – The results of the Workplace Violence and Harassment blitz in Healthcare are now available. This blitz took place in February and March 2013. Ministry of Labour (MOL) inspectors focused on compliance with requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Health Care and Residential Facilities Regulation (HCRF). The blitz aimed to raise awareness of workplace violence and harassment as well as to promote compliance with legislation and best work practices in the healthcare sector.

 

MOL inspectors conducted a total of 285 visits to 221 workplaces and issued 307 orders under the OHSA, including one stop work order. The full report is available on the MOL website in English and French.
