Ontario Government Pays Tribute To Fallen Firefighters And Their Families

Fallen firefighters were honoured for their bravery, sacrifice and service to Ontario today at Queen’s Park. Premier Dalton McGuinty and Community Safety and Correctional Services Minister, Jim Bradley, took part in a special ceremony where the family members of 18 firefighters were presented with “Tribute to the Fallen” plaques. The tribute was created in 2006 to honour firefighters, police officers and members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty.  Read more
