PIDAC Guidelines for MERS-CoV

June 7, 2013 – The Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee on Infection Prevention and Control (PIDAC-IPC) has created a new supporting document, Tools for Preparedness: Triage, Screening and Patient Management of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) Infections in Acute Care Settings to their document Routine Practices and Additional Precautions in all Health Care Settings.

 

This document was developed to provide guidance in the following areas:

 

  • Preparedness before the first case arrives
  • Components of case management plans
  • Exposure follow-up
