PSHSA’s Annual General Meeting – Revised Notice

Public Services Health & Safety Association has revised the details of its Annual General Meeting.

 

Please be advised that due to a potential labour dispute at North York Novotel Hotel, the proposed site of the 2012 Annual Meeting (the “Meeting”) of the Members of Public Services Health & Safety Association (the “Association”) to be held on September 5, 2012, the Board of Directors of the Association, by resolution, revoked any and all notices previously delivered in connection with the Meeting and changed the location of the Meeting as set forth herein. Please discard any notice previously received from the Association with respect to the Meeting.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting of the Members of PUBLIC SERVICES HEALTH & SAFETY ASSOCIATION will be held at the Centre for Health & Safety Innovation at 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 0A1 on the 5th day of September, 2012, at the hour of 2:00 PM, local time.

 

As noted previously, this year’s speaker will be George Gritziotis, the province’s first Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).  George was appointed CPO in August 2011 and began work at the Ministry of Labour on October 17th, 2011.  As the CPO, George has the authority to set standards to enhance health and safety training.  He is also responsible for working with Ontario’s Health and Safety Associations to establish effective delivery of prevention programs and services, and to monitor their compliance with standards set by the minister.
