Workplace Violence Prevention: PSHSA Offering Gentle Persuasive Approach Training

Gentle Persuasive Approach: A Client Centred Approach to Violence Prevention in Health and Community Care

Workplace violence can take many forms so it’s vital that employers understand the definitions, and their obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Health and community care workplaces often have different needs in this area and can benefit from new approaches to preventing workplace violence.

Sponsored by the MoHLTC, PSHSA is able to offer the choice of two courses at reduced rates, for our health care and community care clients in the Gentle Persuasive Approaches™ (GPA) to preventing workplace violence. Created by Advanced  Gerontological Education, the GPA is grounded in the principle of person-centered care for dementia patients.
