As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Ontario workplaces, employers are faced with the task of ensuring the safety of staff, clients and visitors while preparing to return to the workplace. In this effort, many public and private organizations have taken the initiative to implement COVID-19 vaccination policies.
This document does not provide a position that endorses or opposes mandatory COVID-19 vaccination. Instead, it was designed to provide foundational information, key occupational health and safety considerations, and additional resources to support employers who are considering implementing a COVID-19 vaccination policy. The goal of this guidance document is to support Ontario workplaces to ensure the safe resumption or continuation of in-person work and services while controlling the risk of transmission and ultimately protecting the health and safety of employees and the public.
