Assessing and Communicating the Risk of Workplace Violence
1 hour 50 minutes
Client violence against healthcare workers is a serious and growing problem in workplaces across Ontario. Assessing and communicating risks is central to preventing unnecessary harm and ensuring the delivery of effective person-centered care.
This webinar will provide participants with an overview of PSHSA's Violence Assessment Tool (VAT), a tool to evaluate the potential for violent behaviour in clients. Participants will also explore key elements and principles for developing a sustainable flagging alert program for communicating risks and controls to relevant staff.
