PSHSA Resumes In-Person Training and Consulting Services

The health and safety of our clients, staff and stakeholders is our top priority. PSHSA continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in Ontario and remains in constant consultation with the Province to evaluate potential service delivery implications and ensure we are taking appropriate action to safeguard our people, clients and communities.

We understand the importance of our clients’ business continuity and the need to maintain a healthy and safe workplace, especially at a time like this. As the province slowly reopens and in-person services resume, PSHSA is prepared to reopen our office and begin offering in-person training sessions and consulting services while prioritizing your safety.

Training Sessions

In-person onsite training sessions will resume in September, with in-person regional training sessions beginning in October. For information on upcoming in-person training sessions in your community, please visit our Classroom course catalogue.

Participants attending PSHSA’s in-person training sessions will be required to:

  • Cooperate with pre-screening procedures (self-screening checklist and sign in sheet).
  • Follow proper use of face covering when in the classroom and other common areas.
  • Maintain a 2 metre/6 foot distance from others.
  • Follow signage and posters on premises for traffic direction.
  • Wash and sanitize hands regularly.

PSHSA continues to offer training to organizations through a variety of channels, including Distance Learning, eLearning and Classroom. Distance Learning will continue to be offered as a first-choice delivery channel for all of our health and safety training offerings (excluding hands-on training). For information on upcoming Distance Learning training sessions, please visit our Distance Learning course catalogue.

We are also happy to deliver organization-specific health and safety training sessions onsite or via Distance Learning. Connect with a consultant to discuss your training options and determine which delivery mode will best meet your needs during re-opening.

Strict control measures to safeguard our communities

PSHSA is committed to taking every action required to protect our staff and clients. We have developed a fulsome safety plan including an infectious disease risk assessment and a checklist of control measures to control the risk of COVID-19. Control measures are based on recommendations of local public health units and Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer as well as our own team’s extensive health and safety expertise, and include, but are not limited to, screening visitors and staff, complying with physical distancing requirements, following the mandatory masking requirements, and intensifying cleaning and sanitization.

Consultations

PSHSA’s Health & Safety Consultants continue to support Ontario employers with workplace health and safety programming and provide a range of services, including COVID-19 risk assessments for workplace re-opening. Please reach out to your local consultant for more information. Where possible, remote services will remain our first option in delivering consulting services.
