Half day
PSHSA and ESA collaboratively offer a half-day “Electrical Safety for Emergency Responders” course. The training is an extension of knowledge from the handbook. The workshop reviews the Electrical Safety for Emergency Responders handbook with safety services who are called upon to respond to emergencies involving electrical systems. Emergency responders will learn to identify electrical hazardous situations involving fallen or low hanging power lines, electrical distribution equipment, substations, underground installations and services to houses and industrial buildings.
Applicable to the Emergency Services sector, this training is applicable to all first responders and emergency personal whom arrive first on the incident/accident scene. The training aims to inform emergency responders about the electrical distribution system and help identify the electrical equipment and relevant hazards when arriving first on scene.
