When Building Inspectors focus on the safety of the building, who is focused on the safety of the Inspector? By its very nature, seeking out, identifying and essentially coming into contact with hazards has great potential risks.
PSHSA’s Health and Safety for Building Inspectors training program is aimed at keeping Building Inspectors safe on the job. This training covers the legislation and hazards associated with the job, including trenching, falls, asbestos, mould, confined space and driving. By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognize hazards and establish various types of controls to ensure their safety.
This training will provide building officials, home inspectors, site supervisors and industry tradespeople with the skills and knowledge related to health and safety as well as consideration to applicable job related hazards.
