PSHSA’s Health and Safety for Fire Prevention Officers training program is aimed at keeping Fire Prevention Officers safe on the job. This training covers the legislation and hazards which they may come across while performing their inspections. These hazards include trenching, falls, asbestos, mould, confined space, post fire exposures and driving. By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognize hazards and establish various types of controls to ensure their safety.
Now that most FPO's don't come from operations they don't have the ops training. This program equips the FPO with the knowledge to identify hazards that they might encounter while working alone.
