Trenching or excavation conditions can change at a moment’s notice; changes in weather or vibrations from surrounding equipment or traffic can cause fatal cave-ins. This program is designed to help emergency workers develop the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct safe trench rescues. Upon completion on the program, participants will understand the legislation and hazards related to trenching, as well as the emergency rescue procedures and equipment. A combination of classroom learning and hands-on practical application will ensure worker competency in this area.
Applicable for the Emergency Services sector, this training will be of interest to Emergency workers who work with excavation and trench rescue as part of their work, all workers who respond or provide rescue near or in trenches should complete this awareness level training. Upon completion, participants receive a confirmation of training certificate.
